The NAC 2018 Posterprize and the Vening Meinesz Award will be given during the plenary closing session of NAC 2018 on 16 March 2018 (16.15-17.00).

The NAC attracts about 300 scientists within the field of Geosciences. Most presentations will be in posterform. The top-three posters will be awarded with 250 € (first place), 150 € (second place) and 100 € (third place). The selection will be performed by the posterjury, formed by the chairman of the program committee and a member of the program committee and one of the organizing committee. The posterjury will use the following criteria for assessment:

  1. Lay Out – is your attention drawn or not?
  2. Accessibility – Is the explanation of the research readable for outsiders?
  3. Content – How much is explained in how few words, and does the text encourage to read on?
  4. Composition – Is there a clear build up of arguments/explanations

For winning the posterprize, it is required that the first author is present at the plenary closing session.
